Children In Need – Coffee Morning
Children in Need
Ochiltree Primary School is having a coffee morning on Friday 13th November from 9.30 a.m. – 10.30 a.m. within the school. All donations will to to “Children in Need”.
Children are welcome to come along on Friday 13th wearing “something spotty”. All children will take part in organised class activities during the coffee morning.
We look forward to seeing family, relatives and the local community to celebration this event.
Christmas Lunch – Wednesday 9th December
School Christmas Lunch will be served to our pupils on Wednesday 9th December, with a traditional Christmas menu as attached below.
You will be able to book this on ParentPay closer to the time, but in order to guage numbers, the Catering team have asked us to take your orders so that they can plan ahead.

Christmas Market
on Saturday 28th of November (11:00am – 2:00pm)

CHRISTMAS CARDS AND ITEMS ORDER 2026
Order by Thursday 12th November – 12 noon.
This year, Ochiltree Primary Parent Council have organised the production of personalised Christmas cards and gift items via Class Fundraising.
Design cards will be coming home in school bags Tuesday 3rd November; look out for them tomorrow.
Parents should visit Parent artwork unlock, enter the codes from their Parent Order Card and confirm their child’s name and class. The name and class you enter here will be the details printed exactly as shown on your products.
Parents then review and approve the artwork – or provide feedback if any changes are needed to the proof.
Once the artwork is unlocked, you will receive a link to the online shop to place your order. All payments are made securely online at the time of ordering.
After the order deadline on Thursday 12th November, orders will be released for production, and once ready delivered to the school.
Please keep your artwork design card until orders are delivered to ensure you are satisfied with your order.

P7 Residential Lockerbie – Payments
In preparation for our P7 pupils’ residential trip to Lockerbie on 17th May 2027, a payment plan was set up for P7 parents through ParentPay – this can be found at the ‘‘ button.
Six installment payments of £50.00 have been set up with the following payment dates:
- Instalments 1: 30/10/2026
- Instalments 2: 27/11/2026
- Instalments 3: 9/01/2027
- Instalments 4: 26/02/2027
- Instalments 5: 26/03/2027
- Instalments 6: 30/04/2027

P5-7 After-School Badminton Club
Ayrshire 360 are offering a new after-school Badminton Club for P5-7 pupils.
Sessions will be held at The Hub on:
- Thursday 19th November,
- Thursday 26th November and
- Thursday 3rd December
from 3:00pm until 3:45pm.
Spaces are still available if your child would like to take part.
If your child wishes to attend please complete the form below by Friday 6th November at 12noon.

For one week only, P5/6 will have their PE day on Thursday 5th November instead of the usual Friday timetable.

Halloween Sweets – Choking Hazard
Dear Parent/Carers,
With Halloween coming up when sweet treats and bags of goodies will be eaten, we would like to highlight the risk of choking, particularly with small, spherical, gummy textured sweets.
We would encourage all parents to avoid sending into school chocolate or jelly eyeballs, lollies or any other small round confectionaries for snack.
Given that pupils could be running around over break time these sweets can be incredibly dangerous.
Let’s help keep our pupils safe and avoid bringing this type of sweet to school.
Please remember we are also a NUT FREE school – this includes chocolate hazelnut spreads and fillings.

Children in Need – Change of Menu
As part of the Children in Need celebrations there will be a change to the usual Week 3 Friday Lunch menu on

This can be ordered via ParentPay as usual.
Any booking already placed for that date will have been removed and a lunch from the alternative menu will need to be placed.

Halloween Parties – Friday 30th October
We are having our Halloween Parties on Friday.
Children are welcome to come to school dressed up on Friday or bring in a costume to change into.
Staff in school will assist any child who needs help getting changed.
Please note that costumes / masks / make-up should not be too scary, and no props should be taken into school.

We look forward to hosting our next achievement assembly on Thursday 29th October (please note change of day due to Halloween parties on Friday 30th October).
If your child has celebrated any achievements out-with school e.g. earned a swimming badge, learned to ride their bike, gained badges at a hobby etc., then they are able to bring in such items to share at this special assembly. Alternatively if you would like us to share any photographs or videos of your child’s achievements, please upload these via the Parent Contribution tab on your child’s learning journals.
