Sharing the Learning Event

We would like to invite Parents and Carers to come along to our “Sharing the Learning” event on Thursday 17th September. The session will begin with an input on Learner Journals at 2:00pm in the hall, before joining children in their classes at 2:15pm – 2:45pm for a short activity.

We hope to see you then.

Achievement Assembly 4.9.26

It was wonderful to come together and celebrate so many achievements at our first Achievement Assembly of this school session. A huge well done to everyone – you’re achievements are something to be proud of!

We look forward to sharing photographs from the assembly once we have received the necessary photographic permissions. If you have not yet completed this for your child/children, please do so using the link below.

Photographic Permission

Achievement Assembly

We look forward to hosting our first achievement assembly of the session on Friday 4th September.

If your child has celebrated any achievements out-with school e.g. earned a swimming badge, learned to ride their bike, gained badges at a hobby etc., then they are able to bring in such items to share at this special assembly. Alternatively if you would like us to share any photographs or videos of your child’s achievements, please email these to eaochiltree.ps@eastayrshire.org.uk by 3pm on Thursday 3rd September.

We look forward to celebrating the success of our pupils!

PE Days

Please see the days for PE for each class below:

P1/2: Tuesday and Thursday

P3/4: Monday and Wednesday

P5/6: Wednesday and Friday

P6/7: Tuesday and Thursday

A reminder that, in line with East Ayrshire’s guidelines, jewellery is not permitted during PE. Earrings should preferably be removed. If this is not possible, they can be taped over, or pupils can bring tape to cover them. Removal or taping of earrings is the responsibility of parents/carers or the child if they are able to do this themselves.

It would also be helpful if long hair is tied back and loose clothing is secured for PE.

Pupils can either come dressed for PE, wear their kit underneath their clothing or leave their PE kit in school to change into when needed.

Medical Forms

** Important Information **

Please note that medical forms have been issued today. Forms, along with all medication, should be returned to the school office as soon as possible. If your child requires medication to be taken in school and did not receive a medical form, please contact the school office.

Thank you.

P7 Leavers

Our Primary 7’s had great fun during their water fight this afternoon. Photographs are now available on the P6/7 Blog.

Tomorrow our Primary 7 pupils will be piped out at the end of the school day via the main entrance at 1pm. We would like to invite our P7 parents and carers into the main hall at 12:45pm prior to them leaving to view a slideshow of their power points created about their primary years.

A Royal Response for Ochiltree Primary

We were delighted to receive a wonderful letter from Buckingham Palace following our invitation to His Majesty The King to join us in celebrating Ochiltree Primary School’s 50th Anniversary.

Although His Majesty was unfortunately unable to attend, he asked for his sincere thanks to be passed on to our school community and sent his warmest good wishes to everyone involved in the celebrations.

P7 Water Fight

As part of our P7 leavers celebrations, we’ll be having a water fight tomorrow afternoon!

Please make sure your child brings:

  • A towel and/or a change of clothes
  • Any water guns or water balloons they would like to use (optional)

Parents and carers of P7 pupils are warmly invited to come along to watch or even join in the fun if they wish! Please join us from 2:15pm.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic afternoon and a memorable way to celebrate our P7s before they move on.
