Autumn Clean Up Sponsored Litter Pick – Friday 25th September
Our pupils are gearing up for an autumn clean up around the village on Friday 25th September during school hours to help raise money for outdoor and playground activities.
There is no obligation, but we would be grateful if you could help by sponsoring your child to take part and by asking family and friends to sponsor too.
Please look out for sponsor sheets and envelopes in your child’s school bag.
If you are able to help, we would ask that all sponsor sheets and collected money be returned to the school in the sealed envelope provided on Monday 5th October by 12 noon. Cash can only be collected on this date.
Warm waterproof clothing and footwear suitable for autumn temperatures and weather conditions is advised for the day.

P5-P7 Afterschool Dodgeball
Ayrshire 360 are offering an After-School Dodgeball club for all P5, P6 and P7 pupils, to be held in school, running between 3pm and 3:45pm, on the following dates:
· Wednesday 16th September
· Wednesday 23rd September
· Wednesday 30th September
Please note that spaces are limited to 20 and these will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. If your child wishes to attend please complete the form below by Friday 11th September. A consent form will then be issued on Monday 14th September if your child receives a place.
P5-7 Afterschool Dodgeball – Fill in form
If it is not their usual PE days, children should bring their PE kits with them on the above dates.
Parents will be required to collect their child at the end of the session.
Sharing the Learning Event
We would like to invite Parents and Carers to come along to our “Sharing the Learning” event on Thursday 17th September. The session will begin with an input on Learner Journals at 2:00pm in the hall, before joining children in their classes at 2:15pm – 2:45pm for a short activity.
We hope to see you then.

It was wonderful to come together and celebrate so many achievements at our first Achievement Assembly of this school session. A huge well done to everyone – you’re achievements are something to be proud of!

Our P1/2 class will be taking part in outdoor learning Tuesday 1st September.
Rain is forecast for tomorrow, so wellies, outdoor jacket and a change of clothes is requested to allow our pupils to take part.

FLU Immunisation – Pupils with Asthma
Please see the attached letter and details below from the NHS regarding
FLU IMMUNISATION OF SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN WITH ASTHMA
Our pupils are scheduled to be vaccinated on Friday 25th September, should any action be required, please contact the NHS at least three days prior to this date.
A paper copy of this letter will be send home today with pupils identified as having asthma.

Achievement Assembly
We look forward to hosting our first achievement assembly of the session on Friday 4th September.
If your child has celebrated any achievements out-with school e.g. earned a swimming badge, learned to ride their bike, gained badges at a hobby etc., then they are able to bring in such items to share at this special assembly. Alternatively if you would like us to share any photographs or videos of your child’s achievements, please email these to eaochiltree.ps@eastayrshire.org.uk by 3pm on Thursday 3rd September.

It has been a busy couple of weeks in the school getting into the new academic session, and to ensure that we have all our records and files all current and up to date, to allow access to systems and to capture your opinions, we have sent out the following forms for your completion and return;
- Annual Data Check (paper form),
- Parental Consent Form Detailing Health and Medical Information (Walks Around Ochiltree),
- Parental Consent Form – Trip to Darnlaw Farm, RHET (P3/4 only),
- Flu Immunisation Consents (forms should be completed and returned in sealed brown envelope even if consent is not given)
