Primary 2/3 have been looking at ‘Energy Around Us’ as part of our new topics.  We have been focussing on toys that need to be ‘pushed’ or ‘pulled’ to move.  This week we made our very own ‘Penny Spinners’ which require a pushing twist action to get it to move.  We moved into the open area to find a large smooth surface to test our spinners. A little look at the Pudsey based activities our P1, 2 and 3 pupils took part in for our Children In Need afternoon!

Primary 1, 2 and 3 have been doing some quiet reading this week and had a lovely end to Book Week Scotland, by being gifted their Book  Bag.  Activities will carry on into next week when we will have a special activity afternoon on Wednesday, based on the books in each of the Book Bags!

Thank you to our excellent Primary 7 editors and camera operators as well as Mr Bertoncini.

We are pleased to announce that on Friday  19th November children in Primary 1 will receive their Bookbug Family Bag and children in Primary 2 and Primary 3 will receive their Read Write Count bags.

The children will bring these home to share with you.  We would be grateful if you were able to take some photographs and send these to the class teacher.  If you are happy we would then like to share these photographs on our blog too.

As you will remember from our November Newsletter we will have a special afternoon of activities on Wednesday 24th November.  Children in P1-3 can come to school dressed in their pyjamas, bring a cuddly toy and bring their favourite book from the gifted bags.  The teachers have planned a lovely afternoon for the boys and girls.  The Primary 7 children will be there to help the children enjoy the activities as well as milk and cookies.
