Please remember it is” Shorts and Shades” day tomorrow !.

(Or you can also just choose to wear something summery!)

We are asking politely for a small donation via Parentpay which will go towards our Mount Carmel Fun Day on the 18th June.

Just a little reminder that if your child requires a packed lunch from the dining hall for the visit on Wednesday 16th June, please let us know. If not, please send your child to school on the day with a snack and packed lunch, as the park visit is a full day outing.

God’s Loving Plan- P5

Next week we will be commencing our God’s Loving Plan unit. Primary 5 have been notified that this will be happening and have been encouraged to let their parents and carers know. Primary 5 are aware of what is expected of them during this unit. Please be prepared to discuss this at home with your child.

School Uniform- August 2021

Due to Covid restrictions up until this point children have been allowed to wear clothing suitable for outdoor activities. From August, we will return to full school uniform each day.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Tesco Uniform Embroidery Service has changed to “My Clothing“. For more information or to order school uniform please visit:

Uniform is also available from :

Walker & Templeton, The Strand , Kilmarnock and the National Schoolwear Shop , Queen Street, Kilmarnock.

Ideally our school uniform should consist of:

Grey/black trousers for boys, grey skirts for girls, blue/white shirt with Mount Carmel school tie or,  alternatively, Mount Carmel polo shirt and royal blue Mount Carmel sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan.

No black jeans or leggings please!

Gym kit should consist of:

Royal blue shorts, pale blue plain round neck t-shirt and and black gym shoes. These should be brought to school in a drawstring back clearly marked with your child’s name.

****PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON EVERYTHING!****

We also have a selection of used school uniform available. This is always available in our “Uniform Exchange” area in the main foyer.

During the last week of term this we will be place outside for parent/carers to access.

Shorts and Shades Day

FOMC are planning a ” Shorts and Shades” day on Friday 11th June. We are asking politely for a small donation via Parentpay which will go towards our Mount Carmel Fun Day on the 18th June.

World of Work -Thank You

We would like to say a huge “Thank You” to all the parents and carers who very kindly took the time to send in their World of Work videos for the children to watch.

They were all very interesting and the teachers and children enjoyed watching and discussing them on Friday .

Parentpay- Current payment items

A quick reminder that currently on Parentpay are the following “live” payment items:

Primary 7 Activity Week – £40 per child -(P7 pupils only) due 11th June

 

Mass Days – May/June

The children will be attending Mass next week and again in June, before the end of term.  Here are the days each class will be attending:

  • Monday 24th May -P1-3 and P4&5
  • Tuesday 25th May -P6&7
  • Monday 21st June – P1-3 and P4&5
  • Tuesday 22nd June – P6&7

Can all children please bring a face mask with them for attending Mass . Thank you

 

 

 

P7 Activity Week

As you will be aware, our P7’s unfortunately missed out on their residential trip this year due to Covid . With the recent changes in the Covid tier system, it is now possible for the children to take part in a school based activity week!

 

 

 

 

 

Here is the proposed itinerary for the activity week commencing 14th June:

  • Monday 14th – Team games and outdoor activities
  • Tuesday 15th – Dean Park visit/picnic lunch/Ranger led activities
  • Wednesday 16th- Cinema trip
  • Thursday 17th- Year Book/Video Assembly/Pizza party/Baking
  • Friday 18th – Magic Mount Carmel Fun day
  • Monday 21st – Tree Tops adventure day

As a school we would be able to provide some of the funding for the activities- £300 and FOMC have offered to make a donation too. In order to  help finance these activities we are asking for a parental contribution of £40.  This has been set up on Parentpay.
