Our school car park is as always out of bounds for parents/carers vehicles . We also have an increase in commercial traffic e.g vans lorries etc going in and out of the car park daily due to our kitchen renovations having started this week making it particularly hazardous.
During September we were delighted to see so many of our parents and carers come along to our ‘Meet the teacher’ session, thank you for taking the time to come to school and get some information about the year ahead. Please let us know what you thought of these sessions and anything else we could add in the future.
Please see the poster below for details of our Halloween Disco on 30th October. Tickets for this have gone into schoolbags today.
Do not send the money into school please, the £2.50 is payable on the night on entry. Please complete the attached portion of the ticket and make sure your child brings this with them on the night.
Thanks.
We will be holding a Wider Achievement Assembly on September 26th. If you would like us to celebrate your child/children’s recent achievements, please send any photos and information to the school inbox eamountcarmel.ps@eastayrshire.org.uk by Wednesday 24th.

For those Parents/Carers who were unable to attend last weeks’ Meet the Teacher session for P2 , please find a link to the presentation below.
P1 parents/carers will be permitted into the lower school playground until Friday of this week.
As of Monday of next week, no parents/carers will be allowed in the school playgrounds.
This will help the children to feel safe.
There will be a P7 parental information evening on 3rd September at 6pm in St. Joseph’s Academy.
An update to let everyone know that our school telephone answer machine is now back up and running. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Please note there will be NO School Crossing Patrol between Thursday 4th September and Thursday 11th September (Dates Inclusive).
We have realised that our telephone answering machine is not registering messages left by parents/carers. It is allowing people to leave messages but they are not coming through on our system.
A call has been logged today with our telephone engineer to hopefully have this resolved as soon as possible.
In the meantime, if your child is absent from school, please make sure you make direct contact with the school office .
Thanks
We appreciate it may be far too early for a lot of parents/carers to even think about, but we are beginning to arrange our calendar of events taking place between now and the Christmas break!😯
With this in mind, we are going to be booking this years’ local pantomime – Sleeping Beauty, which is to be held in the Galleon Centre. This will be a whole school outing on Tuesday 2nd December at 10am. The cost of the ticket and transport is £16 per child. The box office need EXACT numbers of tickets no later than Monday 15th September.
In order to give everyone plenty of time to pay for this, we plan to offer an initial deposit of £8 due via Parentpay by Monday 8th September. You will be able to access this from today onwards.
This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and secures a ticket for your child. If we do not receive a deposit, we will be unable to purchase a ticket for your child.
There will then be one further final payment of £8 required by Friday 31st October.
If any families are worried about the cost of this please contact the school office as soon as possible.

A reminder that tomorrow is our Fun Day!
Children can come to school in their own clothes if they wish, they must however, wear joggers/ leggings and socks as there will be bouncy castles and slides.
Fingers crossed for better weather🤞
