Everyone at Mount Carmel is continuing to work very, very hard to reach our target on our Mission to the Moon!
We were delighted to have had some special visitors to the school last week to meet with our Eco Committee and have a look at all the hard work we have been doing to promote Mount Carmel’s Mission to the Moon journey. We are super proud to have our picture on the East Ayrshire Launch page promoting our journey.

Primary 3 and 4 have organised a SCIAF fun day for the whole school this Wednesday 8th March. Children across the school will take part in a range of activities they have prepared. School uniform to be worn.Â
A suggested ÂŁ1 cash donation for this event.

The school will close at 2.30pm on Friday 31st March for the Easter break. Children who normally go home by taxi will be collect at 2pm.

Don’t forget it’s World Book Day tomorrow (Thursday 2nd March).Â
We are looking forward to seeing the children dressed up as characters from their favourite books if they wish OR you can just “Dress as you please” You don’t need to stress about buying a costume, why not customize some old clothes you already have at home?
And if you don’t feel like dressing up. that’s ok too, you can still take part in all the fun activities throughout the day!

This is the first week of our “Mission to the Moon” where we are encouraging families in active travel to and from school.
Please encourage children to walk, cycle, scoot to school and help us build up our S-miles and reach our targets. If a Parent/carer/sibling participates too they also collect S-miles!
