We were delighted to see everyone back at school yesterday after the summer break. We hope you all had a wonderful summer and that all our pupils are excited to be starting in their new classes.Β
It was lovely watching all our new Primary 1’s coming in to school on their first day yesterday. We look forward to getting to know them all over the coming weeks.Β
Everyone at Mount Carmel also wish our P7’s who left us in June the best of luck as they begin their new journey at secondary school.

A reminder that tomorrow is our whole school fun day!!
This is a non uniform day .Children can come to school wearingΒ comfortable, casual clothes as there will be bouncy castles etc. If the weather is not on our side, we will erect the bouncy castles/inflatables inside the school.Β
There will also be an ice cream van for the children in the afternoon, no money is required for this.

The whole school will be attending an End of Term Mass at 11am on Thursday 29th.Β
Our wonderful school choir will be singing and this will be a very poignant Mass for us as this will be our final one with Father Martin, so lets make it extra special!

A reminder that the pupils MUST be in school no later than 8.15am on the morning of the trip as the buses will be leaving at 8.30am sharp and are unable to wait for any latecomers.
Buses are scheduled to return to the school at 3.30pm. All children will then be dismissed at 3.30pm from their classes.
Children to wear school jumpers, comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes. Snacks should be eg fruit, crisps etc – no large bags of sweets or crisps and as always no fizzy juice.
Please send your child with a plastic bag with their lunch/snack in it.
No schoolbags on the day.
Do not send money with your child as we willΒ not be visiting the gift shop.

Having had the very successful community performance yesterday of our summer show The Wizard of Oz, we are all very excited to be performing tonight at 6pm .

A reminder that this week will be the last week for homework before the summer break.

We are very excited to be holding our Sports Day on Thursday 8th June and are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather! Parents/carers are invited to come along on the day in tΒ the main car park gates and making their way through the upper playground to the grass area at the rear of the school.
Signs will be in place to follow.
We are encouraging the children to wear House colours where possible. If your child does not know what House they are in , please contact the school office.
Children should bring with them comfortable clothes as they will take part in different activities throughout the day. They should also bring sun cream, a hat, sunglasses and plenty of water.Β Β
Can we ask that immediately after your childβs races that you exit the school grounds to make way for the next group of Parents/Carers to attend and so on. Thank you.
