Numeracy:
We have been practicing our number formation and would appreciate any support and practice at home with this.
We are working on addition within 10 and within 20. Some children may wish to challenge themselves by adding with higher numbers.
Some ideas to practise are:
- Dominos – choose a domino & add the two sides. Try to write the number sentence e.g. 3 + 2 = 5
- Roll two dice, add the two numbers & write the number sentence.
- Create some addition calculations for your child so solve. Use concrete materials to help e.g. pasta, stones, sticks.
