Literacy:

Please learn and practise reciting your Scots poem ‘My Wee Doggie’ by J.K. Annand by Friday 26th January.

Numeracy 

We are going to be learning Number Stories. The Number stories are all the calculations that make a quantity, e.g. the number story of 2 is: 2+0, 0+2 and 1+1.

Try the game called ‘Ways to Make’ on Topmarks. Put the teddy bears into the houses to complete the addition calculations.

Literacy

This week we will be learning the phonemes  c k and e.

All children should have  a ‘SATPIN’ read and race game in their school bags. Please spend some time playing this game to practise blending the CVC words with the SATPIN phonemes. They should also have a sheet with satpin on it – these letters can be cut out to make flashcards. Practise using these flashcards to make CVC words e.g tin, sat, pit.

Numeracy 

This week for numeracy we will be practising our number formation for numbers 0-10. We will also be counting and ordering numbers. We will begin combing quantities and adding on one more. Please choose a topmarks game from the QR code sheet (let us know if you don’t have this at home).
