Activity 1: We are learning the sound ‘th’. We are learning the words ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘then’.

1. Log into Sumdog and complete the spelling activity “Spelling – 29.3”.
2. Log into Sumdog and complete the competition “Spelling competition”.

Reading

Activity 1: We are learning to use the sounds we know to read words.

1. Practise reading all of your common words.
2. Reading books: Read the reading book that has been sent home in your bag.

Reminder:  This week, reading books must be returned on Thursday as Friday is a holiday.

3. Log into Sumdog and take part in the grammar competition- this time it is in teams!

Maths and numeracy

Activity 1: We are learning to make doubles to 10.

1. Practise making doubles calculations with your playdoh. The calculations you could make are :

1+1 = , 2+2=, 3+3=, 4+4=, 5+5=.

For a challenge, try making 6+6=, 7+7=, 8+8=, 9+9=, 10+10=

Phonics and Spelling

Activity 1: We are learning the sound ‘sh’. We are learning the words ‘she’, ‘come’, ‘from’.

1. Log into Education City and select “Phonics – sh” to play the game.
2. Complete the activity sheet “Ship Shape” that was sent home with your homework sheet.
3. Log into Sumdog and complete the spelling activity “Spelling – 22.3”.
4. Practise spelling your common words in your spelling jotter 3 times.

1. Complete your number activity sheet which was sent home with your homework.
2. Log into Education City select “Homework”, then “Maths Homework” to play the games.

1. Log into education city. Select “Homework” then “Phonics – qu and x” to play the games.
2. Log into Sumdog Spelling and complete the work “Homework 15.3”.
3. Practise spelling each common word 3 times in your spelling jotter.
4. Use your playdoh to practise making all of the common words in your pack. (Please keep the playdoh at home for future homework tasks).

2. Use your playdoh to practise making doubles additions calculations. E.g. 1+1=2, 2+2=4. Do this all the way up to 5+5=10.

Activity 1: We are learning the sounds ‘y’ and ‘z’. We are learning the words ‘your’, ‘by’, ‘only’.

1. Log into education city. Select “Homework” then “Phonics – y and z” to play the games.
2. Log into Sumdog Spelling and complete the work “Homework 8.3”.
3. Practise spelling each common word 3 times in your spelling jotter.
4. Practise making the letters ‘y’ and ‘z’. You can do this by writing them in your jotter, writing in shaving foam, writing in sand, making them with pasta etc.

1. Practise reading all of your common words. You have new common words in your bag this week to add to your pack.
2. Log into Bug Club and read the book that has been allocated to you.
3. Log into Education City. Select “Homework” then “Reading” to play the game.
4. Log into Sumdog Grammar and select “Reading Homework” to take part in the competition. This week it is in teams!

2. Use your whiteboard and pen to practise writing all the calculations you can think of that total 10.
3. Log into Sumdog and select “Number Homework” to play the game.

2. Log into Sumdog and take part in the competition “Spelling Competition”.
3. Practise writing CVC words using the sheet “Paint Pots” that you got with your homework.
4. Practise identifying common words using your word search given with your homework.

4. Choose one of your story books you have at home. Help an adult to read the story. Can you sound out some of the words or recognise some of your common words?
