P6

TERM 1 – (We’re Back!)

Primary 6 are glad to be back and have settled into the new school year very well.

We have had lots of discussions around our thoughts and feelings on the year ahead. Although we have shared some worries, we have already spoken about how we can help each other to overcome them. We are also aiming to take this growth mindset into our everyday learning and have already had a positive start in making the classroom a place we can be proud of.

Class Charter

P6 have finished the design and contents of our class charter. Our theme for the year is 99 Nights in the Forest.  We decided which rights we felt were important for our school, identified who the Rights Holders and duty Bearers were and how best to ensure that each of these rights are met.

Active Schools

We have been very fortunate to have Gordon from Active Schools in to take us through our ‘Playground Leadership’ programme. This has involved us playing a variety of games and discussing how to set these up to allow everyone to play appropriately.

We were then given the opportunity to lead some activities and be given feedback on our leadership skills. After the October holiday we will be working in small groups to lead lunchtime clubs for the P1-3s.

TERM 2 – (We’re Still Coming Back!)

Primary 6 worked exceptionally hard in term 1 and are now preparing to be even busier in the build up to ChristmasNot only will be have our learning to keep up with, but we are also auditioning for the choir, making a Christmas craft, helping the Primary 7s run the Christmas Fayre, having a ‘Deco Day’, as well as looking forward to going to the Panto, going to Elim Hall, having a Christmas jumper day, eating Christmas lunch!
