Danger Detectives
We walked all the way to Dean Park and met with the P6’s from Kilmaurs Primary. We learned what was safe and what was not. We had lots of fun using our detective skills. Thank you to Active Schools for inviting us to come along. 😊🤔❤
Wedding
Primary 3 had been learning all about traditions within world religions. Part of this involved looking at wedding ceremonies. In order to bring it to life Primary 6 were asked to audition to be the ‘bride’ and ‘groom’ in a mock wedding which was organise by P3.
They had invitations, photographers, speeches, a bouquet and a hall full of guests. Owen and Millie were a very happy couple for the day! 😀
Anderson shelters
As part of our WW2 topic we have been learning about the different types of shelters that people had access to in order to keep them safe from the bombings that took place at the time. Anderson shelters are one example of this. We were then challenged to make our own Anderson shelter out of recycled materials.

Class Assembly – Monday 20th November
Anti-Bullying
During Anti-Bullying week, P6 pupils took part in a variety of activities in order to create our own definition of bullying.
Our Definition:
“Bullying is when someone is physically, mentally or emotionally harmed on purpose, e.g. by constantly being called names.”
These activities were designed to boost our self-esteem, help us regulate, or be able to show empathy towards a bully.
Here we drew what a bully might look like and how they way feel.
Here we are doing breathing exercises through yoga.
Open Afternoon
We had our first visit from the pupils families after school. The children confidently spoke about their start to life in P6 and shared some of their learning with those in attendance.
For anyone who wishes a reminder of the main class information shared please click on the link below.

Growth Mindset
We are aiming to take a growth mindset into our everyday learning and have already had a positive start in making the classroom our own.
Class Charter
We had chosen the WWl theme for our new Class Charter during the ‘Bump Up’ days before the holidays, but followed this up by discussing all of the articles and then selecting the ones we felt were most important to us this year to display.
