Phonemes (sounds) and Common Words WB 3rd November
-We are revising the following sounds this week (satipinrmde) and beginning to work on blending these sounds to make cvc words e.g. sit, pan, rip, pan, ten, let etc.
Our common words this week are: I, the , is & are. I, the & are are tricky words and just need to be learned by sight. These need to be worked on continuously to ensure they can read and write them.

Our common words this week are: I, the & is, The first two cannot be blended so just need to be worked on continuously and recognised through sight.

P1/2 Homework October 2025 (W.B.6th Oct)
We will update some of this weekly (to add in new phonemes etc.)
Some Homework will run for the whole month but please check this page every Monday for any updates or things added. There may be links, videos etc. to aid with revision.
The links below tell you what to do for homework this week/month and a grid with ideas for phoneme (sound) revision (please click on the links to open and read them). The logins for Sumdog and Giglets will be sent home after the October holiday for P1/2.
We have also put the links to this weeks phoneme songs aswell as the link to all 42 (many of which they have not been taught yet).
P2 should recap using the first video and work on revision of these phonemes (sounds) using the grid below.
