We are focusing on learning times tables. We are doing this through the exploration of arrays, sequencing, recall of facts and modelling the times tables.

P4/5 wrote a recipe for the Christmas Eve they have at home as part of the genre procedural writing.

As part of our learning about procedural writing we followed a recipe to make cakes. We also used our numeracy skills to weigh and measure.

P4/5 enjoyed performing the songs they had learnt at the Christmas Fayre.

In literacy we have been learning to create pieces of procedural writing and this week we focused on a recipe for a jam sandwich.
p4/5 STEM
As part of our forces topic we learnt about the famous bridge and canal Scottish engineer Thomas Telford. The task was then to build a bridge that would hold a car.
p4/5 Children in Need
We took part in a range of activities as part of Children in Need including the live event with Joe Wicks, ;design a Pudsey t shirt; Bear pong;Â Blooket quiz; 25 lap challenge; puzzles and quizzes.
p4/5 Outdoor learning
We collected lots of leaves to make the hedgehog boxes cosy and topped up the bird feeders. we then had a special treat when p7 came to teach us how to make a wreath from the willow in the garden.
P4/5 Halloween
P4/5 switched off the lights for the day to save energy, Global Goal 13!
We had spooky games in the dark in the hall and class before enjoying a party in the afternoon.
