Warm Weather

We hope that you enjoyed the weather over the Bank Holiday weekend.  With the sunshine and warm temperatures forecast to remain with us for a few days, we would like to ask that your child/children have sunscreen applied before they attend school or nursery, and/or bring a sun hat with them for additional protection while outside.  They are welcome to bring sunscreen to school to top up as necessary, but they will need to be able to do this independently.  As always, we encourage children to bring a water bottle to school with them, which they will be able to refill as required.

Children will be enjoying the outdoor environment more frequently as the weather improves, with their teachers using spaces around the school to enhance learning experiences.

Sponsored Skip

Yesterday all of our pupils took part in a sponsored skip to help raise funds for the P7 Micro-Tyco project. The day was a huge success and the kind donations of our parents/carers has allowed us to raise a great sum of money that will be put towards buying games and activities for the playgrounds, as well as new resources to support our curriculum. Next week P7 will share their Micro-Tyco total. We have added some pictures below, but more have been added to the P7 Class Blog (follow the link). Thanks again for your continued support.

Walk to School Week

Next week (17th – 21st May) we will be taking part in Walk to School Week. We are encouraging all our pupils to walk, cycle, scooter or park and stride to school. Throughout the week all pupils will be introduced to our superheroes who will tell them their own walking superpower.

There are many reasons that we should walk to school, find out why;

This week our pupils will take a pledge to walk to school as much as they can next week. Please help them do this by encouraging them.

Understand autism, the person and what to do.

I’m not naughty. I’m autistic.
For autistic people like me, the world can be a terrifying place. Sometimes sounds feel like my head is exploding. Clothes feel like my skin is burning. And when a tiny thing changes, it feels like my world is ending.
Sometimes I get too much information. And if you only see a naughty kid, you haven’t got enough. #AutismTMI
