Weekly Roundup

Numeracy

P3 pupils are continuing to develop their knowledge of partitioning and can confidently use this strategy to add 2 and 3-digit numbers. Some of our pupils have also had a go at being the teacher to talk us through through this strategy!

We are continuing to focus on data handling this week. Pupils have been able to use data they collected last week to create some fantastic graphs in their jotters. They were then able to transfer their skills into ICT to create a graph digitally using Microsoft Excel.

Literacy

P3 have been working very hard to practise their weekly spelling using various strategies.

We are continuing to develop our narrative writing this week by focusing g on setting.  Pupils were tasked with designing their own setting and were then asked to describe it using their 5 senses. This led to some really great detailed writing!

All Other Curricular Areas

As a class P3 are developing a range of skills when learning to play rounders. Pupils also learned why people wear poppies on Remembrance Day and had even had a go at designing their own poppies using Lego.
