Friday Round Up!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you have all had a great week.

This week in P3 we have been finishing off our division and have been working hard on connecting the pattern between our times tables and division.

In literacy we have been researching all about dogs and finding some fun and interesting facts out about them.  We have also started planning our non chronological reports on dogs and going by the fantastic research the pupils have done, they are going to be great reports!

This week has been our first week trying the new schools approach as Catrine Compliments – our VIP’s this week were Sophie, Myia, Harper, Brooke and Finlay – I hope you have enjoyed being our VIP’s this week! Here are our compliments that will be kept in class so that pupils can enjoy their compliments again and again.

Friday Fun day!

Today our P7’s set some fun activities to do through out today and it was great to see some of the P7’s working with the P3’s.

Creating a chair challenge was certainly a favourite in P3!

Have a great weekend !

Miss Edmund 🙂

Fri – yay Round up!

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you have all had a great week. P3 have come back from the February weekend raring to go and have been working really hard!

This week in numeracy they have been learning with Miss Murdoch about money and change. They were exploring how to make change and the value of money.

In literacy we have been focusing on non – chronological reports and in particular information about dogs. Our study of Greyfriars Bobby sparked some great questions about dogs so we have been researching some fun and interesting facts.

Gentle reminder that we will be doing two slots of PE per week – our first one is with Miss Murdoch on a Wednesday. This will be indoor and pupils have been asked to bring in shorts and  PE shoes. The other slot is on a Friday afternoon with myself and I am planning to keep our slot outdoors, so pupils will be reminded to wear appropriate clothes for being outside. Any problems please let me know.

Have a lovely weekend!

Miss Edmund!

Thursday Round Up

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope you all have had a great week, I know P3 have had a short but fun week!

We have been so fortunate to have been given some building blocks that are a little bit bigger than our lego. The pupils have been exploring different ways to put them together.

Have a great long weekend!

Homework 07.02.22

Hello Everyone!

I hope you have all had a great weekend.  Homework this week is our national numeracy homework sheet and it is on multiplications. This week is a shorter week, please can pupils try and bring back homework on Thursday 10th of February.

Literacy homework this week is a little different – we are learning about Scotland this term and some of our pupils were looking up our family tartan and clans this afternoon.

Homework this week for literacy will be to make a poster with your family clan badge and family tartan. If your name doesn’t come with a tartan or clan have a look to see if any other family members or people you knows name does and use theirs.

We used the above website to have a look.

Any questions please let me know,

thanks Miss Edmund 🙂

Friday Round Up

Hello Everyone!

In P3 this week we have been focusing on Multiplication of the 2 and 4 times table along with using some excellent strategies.

For literacy this week we have been working through the reading wise programme. In writing we have come to an end in instructional writing and the pupils came up with some great instructions on how to get ready for school in the morning – we have some very organised P3’s!

Well done to Brody, Steven, Jalyn and Lucie for working so hard in their numeracy!

This afternoon we explored the playground environment and created our very own zoo. On Wednesday with Miss Murdoch the pupils were looking at environments that animals live in – can you spot some of our classroom animals?

Well done to all of our star of the day pupils. Kayla, Harper, Poppy, Harry, Steven, Hailey and Coral 🙂

Have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday!
