This is a busy week for us as we have our school trip today to Largs and Vikingar. On Wednesday the children have their bouncy castle treat for raising money through their Scottish Tuck Shop followed by a movie afternoon whereby they can bring in pjs, cosy covers, pillows etc and a small snack.

JRSO Parking Campaign
Over the last two weeks the JRSO group have been issuing parking tickets with the help of PC Rae who joined them to help make the parking around the school better and safer for all. They designed the tickets to remind those who were parking in the wrong areas that first and foremost they were trying to make it the safest it could be. The JRSOs would like to thank the parents for their co-operation in parking safely in the correct place. It makes it better for everyone in our community.

A HUGE Thank you!
A HUGE Thank you to all of the fabulous volunteers who came along and supported the school during World of Work Week this week.
This week has been very full with many many volunteers coming into school and delivering inspirational world of work sessions. Paramedics and Health professionals, Engineers and Games designers, Charities and Lifeboats. The children have had a great time. This would not have been possible without the support of the community and the staff who co-ordinated it all. Thank you.

Sun Safe
As we continue to have hot sunny weather we would like to remind everyone of the sun safe message. We would encourage children to use sunscreen and wear a sunhat and sunglasses, out of doors, whilst at school. We remember it by using Slip, Slop, Slap, Wrap.
- Slip on a shirt
- Slop on sunscreen
- Slap on a hat
- Wrap on sunglasses.
That way we can protect our eyes and skin from damage.
Thank you for your help in keeping our children and young people safe.
VE Day Party
Primary 7s from the P7/6 class and P5s from the P6/5 class had a fantastic time planning and enjoying their VE Day party on Thursday. They decorated the courtyard with flags and bunting, danced in the corridors, ate an authentic style menu, listened to the music of the the time and toasted with lemonade. The children worked hard and had a fabulous afternoon after all of their collaboration and planning.
