π Wider Achievement Partnership Day β Portpatrick Adventure! π
On Friday, we celebrated our final Wider Achievement Day of the year with a very special Partnership Day alongside our friends at Portpatrick Primary β and this time, we went to visit them!
The sun was shining as we arrived at Portpatrick Primary, where the children from both schools met and mingled, excited for the day ahead. From there, we walked together to the putting green, where everyone enjoyed a relaxed and friendly game of putting in the sunshine. Children showed great focus, patience, and turn-taking, all while encouraging and supporting one another β excellent teamwork and communication in action! π―β³
Next, we headed to the park, where the children made the most of the climbing frames, swings, and slides. It was fantastic to see them using their gross motor skills, cooperation, and of course, their imagination during play.
After that, we made our way to the beach for the rest of the afternoon. This was a definite highlight! From paddling in the water to building sandcastles, exploring, and playing together, the children demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, and resilience (especially for those brave enough to go a bit further into the chilly sea!). ποΈπ
Lunch was a treat β we had our packed lunches brought down to us, plus some extra pizza to share! π Everyone sat together, chatting, laughing, and enjoying a well-earned rest with their friends from both schools.
It was a completely wonderful day and such a joyful way to end the term. The children showed confidence, kindness, independence, and collaboration throughout every part of the day. We are so proud of all of them β and grateful to Portpatrick Primary for hosting such a memorable event. ππ
Hereβs to a fantastic partnership β and many more days like this in the future! π
