What a fantastic partnership day we had with St Joseph’s and Portpatrick Primary 1–4! Miss Scott, Mrs Copeland, Miss Stevenson and Mrs Henry led an exciting day full of creativity, teamwork, and fun. In the morning, we used our technologies skills to plan and build a bug hotel using sustainable resources, helping to care for our environment and local wildlife. This week P5-7 began an exciting STEM project for Rail 200! Each teamis designing and building a train model from junk and cardboard, including one moving part. Before construction, pupils learned about engineering joins such as tabs, flanges, and braces to help strengthen their designs. Yesterday afternoon, our pupils enjoyed a truly peaceful and relaxing experience – a Sound Bath session with June Meager. 🎶💫 The hall was filled with calm, soothing sounds as June guided everyone through a gentle, mindful session using beautiful instruments and tones. There was Halloween fun on Friday afternoon, when Donna Westbrook visited St Joseph’s once again for our very own in-school Halloween Party! 🧙♀️🕸️ Pupils had a fantastic time taking part in party games, showing off their amazing outfits on the Halloween catwalk, and enjoying lots of tasty treats! 🎶🍬 The favourites of the day – apple bobbing and the doughnut challenge – made a comeback and had everyone laughing! 🍏🍩
