At St Joseph’s, we’ve been busy caring for our fruit trees with the help of Norval, who taught us how trees “breathe in” greenhouse gases like carbon and nitrogen and release oxygen, helping our planet. We inspected the trees for damage, cleaned up broken branches, and used mulch made from natural materials like cardboard to enrich the soil. This will keep the trees healthy and ready to produce more fruit.
This afternoon, we kicked off the first assembly of the year with an exciting and thought-provoking session for Energy Saving Week! The theme of the assembly was “Saving Energy – Saving the Planet,” and it was packed with valuable lessons, engaging discussions, and group activities.
