This morning we welcomed a visit from Norval Dampney from Incredible Edible into the school grounds! Many moons ago Norval worked with the upper school class to plant some trees creating a fruit orchard in the back corner of the school playground (clear of the football goals – thankfully!) and she has been working with us ever since to look after and maintain our little fledgling trees! 

Today pupils went out and used soaked cardboard to help mulch the existing trees as well as assess them for any damage caused during the storm and give them a good pruning. Norval also kindly brought us 3 new trees to plant to boys and girls were hard at work digging some holes for these!
