This Thursday marks the start of a bowling input for the upper school from Kirkcolm Bowling Club. As you may recall – last year the men from the bowling club volunteered their own time to work with P1-4 class for a bowling input, now this year they have invited the older pupils down! It could not have been a more perfect day for bowling – the sun was shining and green was looking very green indeed!
Most of the pupils had never turned their hands to bowls before and they were quick to realise that it was not as easy as it appeared! Definitely a lot of skill required to make the bowls behave the way you want them too! Many of the pupils came away really enjoying their session and hopefully this inspires some future bowling champs of the area!?
Looking forward to more weeks refining these skills and a huge thank you to the men of the bowling club for volunteering their time for us!
