McMillan Coffee Morning
Bubbly Maths
Today (2nd October) P3, P5 and P6 attended Stranraer Academy to see Bubbly Maths. They met Bubbles the Clown who introduced them to different ways of using balloons for Maths.
Each show from Bubbly Maths showed pupils that maths can be fun, engaging and applied to a huge range of areas such as doubling and halving, area, volume and length through the use of balloons and bubbles.
Here is the recipe to make the bubble mixture for yourselves at home.
Nursery: Stay and Play
In Nursery this week we invited families in to Stay and Play. The children enjoyed showing their families around the nursery and playing in all their favourite areas.

Children’s Rights and The Victorians
P3 are busy learning about Children’s Rights now and comparing them to what rights children had who lived during the Victorian period. They have noticed a huge difference in what they have the right to do and what Victorian children had to do. As the class learn more about this topic, photos will be added to keep you in touch with what they are doing.
Eden Bus P5-7
On 3rd September, the boys and girls visited the Eden Bus at school. This is a bus that is linked to the Baptist Church in Stranraer which joins with Baptist churches in America. All classes had a great time exploring the bus with many wanting their nails painted! Some children chose to go back at night to have a go at the climbing wall. All classes enjoyed their experience.
Last Afternoon
We had a fabulous afternoon for our last day of term. We sung, danced and presented gifts to all those who are moving on: P7, Mrs Hall, Mrs Reynolds, Miss Hoad, Mrs Waterson and Mrs Fitzgerald. We wish them all luck.
Corsewall were delighted to receive the Sports and House Trophies for 2018/2019. Well done!
We wish you all a fabulous summer holiday and see you all in Aug 2019.
