Mrs Dampney very kindly came to school to help P6 and P7 plant some native trees within the school grounds. We would like to thank Mrs Dampney for helping this morning and for her continued support.

Highland Games for P1-4
As part of an enterprise topic, Primary 4 organised the Highland Games for P.1-4. After a parade of the different clans for example ‘The Scottie Dogs’ and ‘The Great Galloway Coos’, children participated in events such as ‘The Farmer’s Dash’, ‘The Wellie Toss’ and ‘Toss the Caber’. There was a great competitive atmosphere during all events. Primary 3 baked lovely shortbread for all the competitors. Great fun was had by all!
P7 – Burns Supper
As part of an enterprise project, Primary 7 organised a Burns Supper for P5-7 by writing speeches, making table decorations and organising the entertainment. They planned and cooked a delicious meal of haggis, neeps and tatties as well as recited ‘Address to the Haggis’ and the Selkirk Grace. Some P7 girls entertained everyone with a Scottish themed cheerleading display. The afternoon was finished off with everyone dancing the Gay Gordons. Well done P7 for a terrific afternoon!
