Leswalt Primary is delighted to welcome our newPrimary 1 pupils into our school this session.  They are a wonderful group of children and have all quickly settled into life at school

Netball league gets off to a great start!

Leswalt Primary School has entered the Rhins Primary School netball league and played their first games on Monday 9th May 2011.  The team comprised of pupils from p4-p7 .  In their first evening playing competitively the young team gelled well and demonstrated a great sporting attitude.  The final scores resulted in Leswalt Primary winning against Belmont A and Sandhead, they drew against Rephad and lost against Belmont B, 2:1

Bug Hotels at Logan Gardens

The whole school recently enjoyed the sunshine at Logan Gardens, in conclusion to their “James and the Giant peach”/Minibeasts topic.  Pupils were actively involved in creating little “Bug Hotels”, using resources in and around the grounds.

Inter-school curling bonspeil success!

Leswalt Primary 7 pupils were the winners of the Wigtownshire schools curling bonspeil competition which was held on the 16th March 2011.  Well done team Leswalt!

Cycling in the snow

Leswalt Primary pupils continue to cycle in all weathers – and pupils went that bit extra today by cycling to school in the snow.   Many resembled snowmen on bicycles by the time they reached school! All this effort is to great effect as Leswalt Primary is currently now 2nd place in the National Big Pedal competition. The Big Pedal – Day2

Well done to all of the Leswalt cyclists! We are now 2nd in the whole of the UK, thanks to parents and siblings joining in with the cycling fun. Even if it keeps on raining, we need to keep on pedalling!

Entertaining afternoon for the community!

Primary 5-7 went to the Thursday Club yesterday afternoon to entertain members of the communitys went to the village hall to perform as individuals, and as a class.
