During the Summer holidays pupils gave up their time to perform at both Stranraer and Wigtown Shows. Leswalt Primary pupils were part of the main ring entertainment at both events. And, at Wigtown show pupils were able to see Princess Anne, as she toured the show.
On Friday 24th june 2011, the whole of Leswalt Primary travelled to Edinburgh to perform in front of the crowds at The Royal Highland Show. We had an absolute ball! Pupils in p1-5 enjoyed a Generation Science workshop afternoon on the topic of “Bees”. This input complemented classroom learning on Minibeasts and was a fun, hands on event for all.
Ann Ferguson (Active Schools co-ordinator) came to Leswalt Primary yesterday, and led the p1-4 children through some safety games on bicycle. This linked in with our participation in “The Big Pedal” . Have a look at our photographs.
