Hello everybody! Its Cleo. I am going to be talking about our praying mantises.
There are many different types of praying mantis. We have a Blue Malaysian mantis and a Chinese mantis (Hes the one in the bottom left corner!) They will both grow to about 9cm but you get some smaller species too.
Mantis eat other insects. While they are little fruit flies are the best as they are small and non-harmful. They use their front legs called raptors to grab their pray!
We need to mist their enclosures once a day as they like a certain level of humidity.
I like them because they do a little dance and the reason they do this little dance is to check out their surroundings.
