January in Primary 6

We are working towards showing this term’s work at our class assembly on the 7th February. It is all about friendships and it includes the writing, information handling, art, music, drama and health and wellbeing tasks which we have been working on. We are now beginning to practise speaking in loud, clear voices so everyone can hear. The whole school and P6 families will be there so we hope everyone enjoys it. We’ll let you know how we get on.

Elaine from the Library Resource Centre has been visiting our class and she has been helping us with storytelling. She has left us some lovely picture books which we will read to the Primary 1 boys and girls. This is part of the Dundee Picture Book Awards and we will be voting for the best picture book. The award ceremony will be held next term and all the authors of the books will be there. The author of the winning book will win £1,000.

Tomorrow we are off to Fintry Primary School for the Scottish Country Dancing Festival. We worked really well together to learn 11 different dances and we’re sure we’ll have fun!!
Thank you for readiing our p.6 blog.
