I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all so much, for your continued support and kind wishes during these unprecedented times. It has certainly been challenging adapting to our new situation but I know that everyone is doing their best to deal with this in a way which suits them and their families.
I would like to thank our teachers for how hard they have worked to provide fantastic learning experiences for the children online and for the enthusiasm and engagement from our pupils and families.
As would have happened previously, school is now closed for the Spring Break. Take the time to relax, recuperate and enjoy the time with your family. School will be back online on Monday 20th April.
I will still be checking the emails, on a daily basis, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns or worries.
Take care and stay safe,
Easter Activity – We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
One of our parents had heard of this activity which would be a lovely thing to do during the Easter Break. If you have access to a printer, print out the attached bear (link below), colour in and display in your window so that families walking can take part in their own ‘Bear Hunt.’ Please email or tweet us any photos so we can share these with others.

Hope everyone is feeling proud of themselves. You really have worked so hard these first 2 weeks in our virtual school. I miss seeing you all but I’m glad you’re safe at home with your families.
Have a fun break. We are all going to be finding things to enjoy on our ‘Staycation’ instead of a ‘Vacation’. I’ll look forward to hearing all about it when we get back to school at home.
ALL tasks for P7F have been set on Google Classroom. Please can you make sure that your young learners can log in to Google Classroom and can access these tasks before we finish up for school holidays this week. In order for me to know that you can login can you please post a message saying “Hello” so that I know that can get access. If access is a problem then please check out Mr Scotland’s instructions about all the different platforms you can access Google Classroom from. I can also reset passwords and inform you of your usernames for the various sites we would like you to access.
There are a whole host of activities including Maths Lessons and explanation videos, Comprehension activities, Art lessons and a large number of Health Week activities.
Additionally, there are at least 15 books available on Bug Club for children to read and answer comprehension questions. Sumdog has a competition on at the moment and I have asked the class to complete an initial assessment as well. Both of these sites have NOT been used extensively by a large percentage of pupils. Please be aware I can monitor when they have accessed these sites and for how long.
Hope this adds clarity to the learning opportunities we have created for Primary 7F and they take on the challenge of completing most of the tasks set.
I am aware that during this challenging time for a lot of families it is important to make sure that the balance of school work and enjoying each other as a family is healthily maintained.
Can you guess which teacher is in each picture?

I’ve just spent the last hour looking through some of the work going on in your google classroom. Amazing! Hope you had a fun weekend and found lots of things to do to make it relaxing. I’ll be ‘virtually’ popping in to see you all every morning again this week. Keep up the good work.
Good morning everyone,
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend!
We are going to be having health week at home this year and as one of our focuses is on the Olympic games I am going to set you all some optional activities based on this!
Visit the Olympic Games comment board and post your answers to our questions about your favourite athletes and sports!
Visit the Olympic Timeline and select one of the Olympic Games to research.
Show us what you have learned in any way you like. This could be in the form of a presentation, report, poster, picture, comment, video, photo or any other method you like.
Visit the Nominating Olympic Committee Map and try to find all the answers to the two challenges I have set.
National Olympic Committees Challenge
All activities will be also posted on to your google classroom.
