Numeracy in P3D
In numeracy, we have been learning how to double a number. We have been taking part in a variety of games and activities to consolidate our learning.
Owl Pellets
Primary 3 had a super visit from a countryside ranger as part of our context for learning. We found out lots of interesting information about Barn Owls and had the opportunity to dissect an owl pellet.
We were amazed to find lots of bones! Some of us even found a skull.
Working at Night
Primary 3 were very interested to find out about people who work at nigh time as part of our context for learning. We were very lucky to have Millie’s dad come into class to tell us about his job as a paramedic.
We found out what is involved in this job and even what animals a paramedic might see at night time when they are attending a call.
Paramedics have to use special equipment to help at night. They wear reflective clothing to make sure people see them. To help them communicate with each other when it is dark, they use walkie-talkies. We were able to have a shot of the different equipment.
