Outdoor Learning

Our Outdoor Education course is a bespoke programme designed to discover, learn about and connect with our environment. During the sessions the pupils work in small groups to actively develop their physical and mental well being and social skills.

The main components are:

Conservation work – Eco Schools and John Muir Award

Gardening – learning about how to grow food in the school’s allotment

Campcraft – shelter building, camp fire safety, knots, camping, cooking outdoors which will hopefully lead to an overnight experience

Outdoor Art – using natural materials to create art

Volunteering – helping organisations based in and around Huntly, including the Community Sensory garden
