Open Evening

On the 11th of March the school held an Opening Evening. Parents and other family members had the chance to look around all the classrooms with their children.  Some of theprefects helped and they were a great help. Primary 4’s organised a Fairtrade teas and coffee stall, in aid of Water Aid. Primary 4 pupils served cakes and biscuits and some staff served teas, coffees and juices. This was a great success. They also organised a raffle, and the P4’s helped write out the tickets and fold them. We raised over two hundered pounds. The choir sang some songs in the small hall as well.

Strictly for the P6s

At the end of last term the P6s went to compete in the Stuarts hall with all the other local schools.

Mr Robinson (the ballroom dancing teacher) taught them The Elephant Walk, the Quick Step and the Pasadoble. They had been practising for weeks and it really paid off.

They went off to the Stuarts Hall in the morning and all did really well, with some reaching the Semi Finals! And then after lunch they all performed to the whole school and their parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles! They all performed Beautifully!

Bike Ability

Once again P5 have been doing their Bike Ability. They got their bikes tested just before the Easter Holidays. And they started practising last thursday.

During the lesson last week the P5s started learning how to start and stop safely, how to do a left and right turn, look behind on their bike and weave in and out of cones.

So far they have just been practising in the playground. But before we all know it they will be out practising on the road.

Good luck to them all!

Mr scrimshaw

Mr Scrimshaw has been asked to go to help out at Lumsden school because they dont have enough teachers. He will only be gone this term so he will be back after the summer holidays. The primary sevens will hopefully  be able to say goodbye but I am sure that he will come back and say goodbye before we go to secondary. Mrs Moir and Mrs Harvie will be the headteachers for this term.
