Awesome African Art Auction

Artworks entered into the art exhibition in room 14 will be going on sale this week. Pupils are invited to come to view the exhibition at lunch time on Thursday and Friday. If they want to buy a painting they can bid for it by writing their name, the name of the person whose painting they want to buy and how much they are willing to bid. The highest bidder will get the painting.

Minimum bid 50p. Only paintings next to a coloured dot are for sale. Money raised goes towards Ms Strachan’s trip to Tanzania to build a school.

Fairtrade Fortnight

Primary 7 are learning about Fairtrade. Our class are participating in Fairtrade Fortnight, we are going to promote Fairtrade products within the school. We are going to make our Tuck Shop all Fairtrade, changing the tea/coffee to Fairtrade tea/coffee in the Staffroom we’re also doing a Fairtrade Community Cafe. We are also hoping we are going to get lots of money for Fairtrade.

Enterprise Day buy groovie smoothies

Buy groovie smoothies and you will turn into a legend. The type of smoothie we are selling is banana and strawberry and tastes amazing. For 1 it will be 90p and for 2 it will be £1.10. The reason we are selling smoothies is to raise money for the school so you can get cooler stuff. So buy our smoothies please ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

House Captain Speech

Today we did our House Captain Speeches. I’m in Modley so before I started doing my speech I had to wait for the whole of Modley to come. I had so many butterflies in my stomach. I was so scared. In the middle of saying my speech I was shaking like mad. After I had said my speech it wasn’t that bad. I got quite a lot of votes. Finally it was finished and I could go back to class. Yipee. I will let you know how I get on.
