We have been painting Romans and Celts.  Some people have been painting shields and swords.   In Art we have been painting Mount Vesuvius which is a famous volcano.  We are writing stories about a time machine.  Our story about the time machine is in chapters.  We have written one chapter. 

We have been learning about time.  The P3s have been learning quarter to and quarter past.  The P2s have been learning about o’clock and half past.  We went to cooperative learning groups to  learn the months of the year and make a paper chain of them.  Some people knew all of the months and some people didn’t.

Some people have been digging for finds in the playground!  Some people think that they have found things from the Roman times or a long time ago!  We have put them in our Roman museum.

Bonfire Night, Maths, Night and Day, Road Safety and Reading!

We made wonderful firework posters for firework safety.  We played a Gunpowder Plot game.  We needed to guess which cellar Guy Fawkes was in by answering all of the questions.  We wrote a fireworks senses poem.

In maths, P2 were doing even numbers and odd numbers.  P3 have been multiplying numbers for our times tables.

We learned about where our country is on the globe.  We were looking to see how it turns night into day.  We are turning our pet shop into a museum and library.

We were outside in the playground.  We drew a road with chalk and then we crossed it.  Then we had 2 cars and we had to cross the road when the cars were on the road.

Some P3s and some P2s were making up questions for their reading groups.

P2 have been learning about counting in tens and counting bundles.  We have been counting tens and units and we have been learning about counting up to 100.  Most of us  are finding it quite easy!  We have been playing number bingo. 

P3 have been learning about subtracting and adding hundreds and tens up to 1000.  It is quite hard but we think were are getting the hang of it!  We have been very successful.  We played a game on the smartboard with 3 small penguins and one big penguin.  We had to move the penguins to the right place.  The small penguins were throwing snowballs at the big penguin.  We had to put the penguins on the numbers up to 1000.
