Primary 4 is studying a new project this term called Ancient Egyptians. We have been looking at farming long ago and how important the Nile was to the Egyptians. Did you know that the Egyptians only had three seasons? There was one when the Nile flooded, one when they grew crops and one when they harvested.

P4
This term we have a new topic called Do You Live Around Here? We went for a walk in the woods to look for animal homes. We have designed our ideal homes. We designed our own rug too. We also made our own mood board. We were mapping continents and looking at climate around the world. We made our own garden on the computer.
Primary 4
We have been learning about the Jacobite advance. They managed to get all the way to Derby but not to London. They battled at Culloden with the Redcoats and lost. We have been learning about the Highland Clearances too.
We have enjoyed practising for our play called The Christmas Story. Our voices have improved a lot over the last few weeks. We hope mums and dads enjoyed it.

Primary 4
We have been learning about the Jacobites this term. Jacobites were Scottish people who wanted James back as their king. We have found out about the order of importance of the clans people. The chief was the richest and the cottars were the poorest.
P4’s Day Out!
P4, P5 and P4/5 were on a school trip to Cruickshank Gardens and Satrosphere in Aberdeen. At the gardens we had fun tasks to do like collecting flowers,bark and stems. At Satrosphere we learned about bugs and saw a science show. We all enjoyed the day very much.

P4 have been learning all about living things. We have been working on animals. We know about food chains and the five main vertebrate groups. We have just started plants and know the names of the different parts of a plant. On Wednesday we are going on a school trip to Satrosphere and Cruickshank Gardens.
