In our class we have been learning about Prince Charlie and the Battle of Prestonpans. Here is the story: Prince Charlie and his men marched through Edinburgh to Prestonpans. The Redcoats marched from the other side of Edinburgh set up cannons and went to sleep in the tents. Luckily a farmer came and told the Jacobites a way round the bog. The Jacobites aimed the cannons facing the Redcoats. When the Redcoats woke up they were shocked and nearly all of them died.
