The Staff of ‘Woodlands’ wish to extend to you and your child a warm welcome and offer you some information which we hope will be helpful when your child starts at Woodlands Primary School. At Woodlands we strive to foster mutual trust and understanding between school and home. The parents of our children are always welcome in the school, not only on parent interview evenings and open days but also on more informal occasions. We encourage all parents to take an active role with our Parent Council and welcome your support in any way you can offer.
Our aim is to create a caring and secure environment where each pupil feels happy, confident, and valued as an individual. Each pupil will be encouraged through a well balanced, thoughtful and creative curriculum to realise their full potential.
Our vision – Believe and Achieve
Our values link with the health and wellbeing indicators of Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurture, Active, Responsible, Respect and Including and permeate throughout the school. These are discussed throughout lessons and at assemblies and the children can earn house points and dojo points when they are spotted following our values.
Our Aims:
to be happy
to try our best
to make learning fun and challenging
to be a responsible person
to work independently and as part of a supportive team
to share our learning with families and the community
