Pupil Council spoke with parents, children and teachers and other schools within Carnoustie Cluster to decide on the qualities we are looking for in our learners at Woodlands.
Each learner needs to get to know how they work, what works for them and which skills they still need to develop. Our learner qualities can help us when we are stuck in the learning pit.
- I can bounce back from challenging times. This may to do with my learning, friendships or something else in my life.
- I can think about thinking how things are going. What did I do well? Could I make any changes?
- When I believing I can achieve, anything is possible. I show that I have a growth mindset.
- I can think up new ideas or approach things in an interesting or different way.
- I can work with others to help my learning. This may be through talking or each completing part of a task.
- When I am curious, I think, wonder and ask questions about my learning.
Which learner qualities have you used today and how have you used them?
