If you are unsuccessful with all your applications, UCAS Extra becomes available to you which allows you to add ONE extra choice to your original five.  (Extra is available from the end of February until the start of July at which time it is replaced by Clearing).

If this is also unsuccessful, you will be able to add another choice and so on.  You can also decline your offers and Extra becomes available.  You should compile a list of courses you are interested in and contact the universities directly to confirm that spaces are available for Scottish students.

Once you have entered your new choice, ensure you email an updated personal statement to the university (if this is required).  You should contact the university’s admission office for assistance with this.

Once you receive your results, your chosen university will confirm their offer of a place.  You will receive a letter from UCAS confirming the offer which has been made to you.
