Monifieth High School UCAS Guide 2024

Submitting Your Application

Your completed form should be sent to your PCS teacher (referee) to check. Once they have done so you can submit and pay.

Your form is NOT sent to UCAS yet. If further amendments are needed it can be sent back.

If no amendments are needed, your reference will be written and your form submitted.

PLEASE NOTE:

Writing the reference requires time as PCS teachers collate information from your current and previous teachers.  So it is essential that you meet the deadlines stated.

Each application takes between one and two hours to process; this includes checking that everything has been entered correctly, verifying your qualifications, compiling and entering predictions for this year and writing your reference.  Once your reference has been written, it is checked by other PCS teachers and then by Mr Lusby before being approved for submission.  This is likely to take at least a week but could take longer at busy periods.

It is in your own interests to submit your application on time as many universities will make offers very soon after receiving applications.

Your reference will also contain predictions of your results in the subjects you are studying this session, based on your performance from June to October.
