We will be having a small party on Monday as part of our festivities topic. All children are welcome to dress up for nursery.

Nursery Autumn Request
We are using natural autumn resources in our play. We would be grateful if parents and children could collect more of these natural resources and bring them to nursery. We are particularly interested in getting conkers, acorns and leaves of different sizes and colours. Thank you.
Festivals Topic
We will be learning about different festivals and celebrations over the next few weeks. We plan to celebrate Diwali, Halloween and Bonfire night. The focus in these topics will be to develop our understanding of different cultures. We will also be exploring a range of foods during our festivals topic to extend our awareness. Please see the festivals plan in the planning folder.
Transport
A large group of us continue to be very interested in transport. This week we have been learning to use remote control cars. We are developing our skills in using positional maths language such as forward, backwards, turn, up and down as we steer them around nursery. Some of us are even trying to use the words ‘left’ and ‘right’ albeit sometimes incorrectly. 🙂 We have also been using the large cars to extend our imaginative play.
Autumn Walk
We have been very interested in the autumn changes that have been taking place outside. We will be focusing on these autumn changes during the next few weeks – please see the autumn plan in the planning folder and on the planning wall.
Yesterday we went on an autumn walk to hunt for autumn changes. We were particularly interested in the leaves and had fun throwing and collecting them. We were eager to share what we had found with our friends and nursery staff.
