This is a short week. We are in school from Monday to Thursday due to the September holiday weekend on Friday 23rd and Monday 26th. Hope you all enjoy the break.

French – This week we will focus on the weather. We will be responding to Quel temps fait-il? – What is the weather like?

Il fait beau – it is nice weather

Il fait mauvais – it is bad weather

Il fait chaud – it is hot

Il fait froid – it is cold

Homework – Our spelling pattern this week is u-e. Please write each word 3 times and choose 2 words and write a sentence with each. Spelling test will be on Thursday this week so homework should be completed by then. Some of the children have an extra spelling challenge this week in their homework book.

Topic – The children have decided on our topic for the rest of this term and next term. We are going to find out about Ancient Egypt and the Egyptians.

Maths – Please keep practicing the addition learn its from last week’s blog. The children are now doing a Beat That challenge every Friday and trying to beat their score from the week before.

French – This week we will focus on the days of the week. These are written without a capital letter in French. See if your child can tell you what day it is in French.
