This week we are having a fitness fun day  on Friday. Please come to school in your sports clothes and bring £1.

Reading – The children will get 2 new books this week on Monday and Thursday. Thursday’s book will not be read in school as we are going to Kincorth Library in our reading time.

 

Maths

C – Squiggleworth 2 digit numbers

L –    5+4=9    5+6=11   6+7=13   8+7=15

I –  Halving 30, 50, 70, 90

C – Multiplication by repeated addtion

Our focus for other maths work this week is money. We will be using coins to make amounts and working out totals and change by using addition and subtraction .

 

French – This week we will focus on asking each other questions in short conversations.  Our new learning will be:

Quel age as-tu?     How old are you?

J’ai sept ans.       I am seven years old.

 

Homework – Our spelling pattern this week is or as in fork. Please write each word 3 times and choose 2 words and write a sentence with each. Spelling test will be on Friday this week so homework should be completed by then. Some of the children have an extra spelling challenge again in their homework book.

Topic – This week we will finish off hearing by labelling the ear. Then we will move on to the sense of taste. We will find out about the different tastes our tongue can sense and we will be doing some fruit tasting.
