analogue-clock digital-clock

Our focus for other maths work this week will again be time. We spent last week revising o’clock and half past times both on analogue and digital clocks. This week we will move on to quarter to and quarter past. I have asked the children to look around their house to find out how many digital clocks they have.

french-flag

French – This week we will focus on the months of the year.

homework

Homework – Our spelling pattern this week is ew. Please write each word 3 times and choose 2 words and write a sentence with each. Spelling test will be on Friday this week so homework should be completed by then. Some of the children have an extra spelling challenge again in their homework book.

You can see how your child got on with last week’s spelling at the back of the homework book.

thistle

Topic – We will carry on with our topic of Scotland. We have been learning about the thistle as one of Scotland’s symbols and made one with tissue paper for a craft activity. This week we will be looking at tartan patterns and making our own. The children will take home our “Crocodile” poem this week to practice at home.
