Reading – The children will get 1 new book this week on Thursday.

Maths

C – Squiggleworth  partition a 2 digit number           67 = 60 and 7

L – Keep practicing the addition learn its        doubles 1-9     +2       +3

I –  Adding tens using learn its         3+4=7         so          30+40=70

C – Calculations  addition and subtraction

Our focus for other maths work this week is shape.

 

French – This week we will focus on greetings and personal information. We will be responding to Bonjour. Ca va? – Hello, How are you? and Comment t’appelles-tu? – What is your name?

Ca va tres bien – I am very well

Ca va mal – I am not well

Je m’appelle… – My name is…

Homework – Our spelling pattern this week is wh. Please write each word 3 times and choose 2 words and write a sentence with each. Spelling test will be on Friday this week so homework should be completed by then. Some of the children have an extra spelling challenge again in their homework book.

Topic – The children have been learning where Egypt is and about when the Ancient Egyptians lived. We have watched a short video on life in Ancient Egypt and have been trying to write our names in Egyptian hieroglyphs.
