Our art work this week was winter trees. When Miss Travers showed us the beautiful art work other people had done we were super exited because there was so much colour and beauty. So when we finally got to make our own trees we started off just cutting the shape of the tree but we used black paper so it looked like a silhouette. First everyone got a big piece of black paper and drew a shape that was meant to be our tree and then we stared to add on branches to make it more and more real. Then everybody cut out their tree and cut little bits of black paper for smaller branches to make it more detailed. After the trees were finished we got an even bigger piece of white paper and got some little bits of tissue paper that were shaped like little squares that we placed on the paper and started to place the squares on top of the others but not fully overlapping only at the edges, corners and the sides. Once we had all covered the paper in colourful tissue paper we stuck on our tree and then added our little branches and then it was finished we all had very sticky fingers from the glue but it was all worth it.
