At present our main focus is Literacy, Numeracy, Health and Well-being and Outdoor learning. This is in line with Scottish Government recommendations for school return after Covid-19.

We also ensure the delivery of all curricular areas through cross-curricular projects. For term 1 we have two main projects: World Culture and Global Current Affairs and Communication.

For our World Culture and Global Current Affairs topic we are taking a snap shot of different countries and learning about things we are interested in such as landmarks, animals, foods, history, inventions etc. We are keeping up to date with local and national news, watching newsround on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and are finding out about international news when we ‘visit’ different countries.

For our communication project we are learning about different methods of communication including Sign language and Gaelic.

We are attempting to use digital learning as often as possible and our aim is to ensure digital technology is embedded across the curriculum.
