Hello and farewell……….

The SAL team would like to wish retiring Head of Service Carol Evans all the very best for the future and say a big HELLO to our new Head of Service Ann Marie Knowles. Carol has been in post as a Head of Service since 1995 and joined our education department in 1976. After years of hard work her future plans include relaxing, seeing a bit of the world and spending time with her grandchildren. Heartfelt wishes for future happiness from us all!

Have you seen SALi?

SALi is the sister blog of SAL where our educators can share information, resources and ideas. We have created a new tab above with a link to SALi to make it even easier for our educators to find. The link in the right hand column will be removed soon. Go and have a look at the useful, interesting and up to date content. Please feel free to share any helpful content with your colleagues by following the same instructions for both blogs.

Happy Holidays!

The SAL team would like to wish everybody a restful and fun summer break. We have thoroughly enjoyed all your posts and look forward to reading about your activity in schools during the forthcoming year. Remember we can add in video and audio clips for you if you want to share them and please get in touch if you have any ideas for SAL development for the future.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAL!!!

The SAL Team would just like to say a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to all the pupils and staff who have contributed comments and posts during SAL’s first year. The first post was made on the 8th March 2012 and since then you have contributed 586 posts and we have approved 615 comments! We are all absolutely thrilled at the way everyone has embraced the concept of sharing your activities and ideas. So far 96% of schools have contributed plus nurseries and other teams within Education. Matthew Boyle, Fiona Blakey, Mary Hughes, Gary Clark and Sarah Mills have enjoyed bringing you this platform and we are looking forward to looking after SAL in the future. Remember to get in touch if you have any development ideas and KEEP POSTING!
