Primary 2/3 had great fun performing at the Mod. They sang ‘The Farmer’s in His Den,’ and were lucky enough to gain 2nd place!
The judges’ comments were great, and very positive- ‘faultless Gaelic;’ ‘excellent musical performance;’ ‘each word clear;’ ‘lovely confident singing;’ ‘beautifully in tune.’
P2/3 had fun and enjoyed the performance. Well done P2/3!
P3/4 at the Mod
On the Friday the 13th of September, P4/5, my class, went to Aros Hall to take part in the Mod. We sang Leis an Lurgainn; a song about a boat journey from Ireland to Scotland.
At the start of the action song competition we sat quietly in the long hall before it was our turn, watching the other competitors sing their songs. I thought they were all great.
Now it was our turn and excitedly we climbed up the slippery stairs onto the stage. I was nervous but happy. We sang loudly and did excellent actions. Everyone worked as a team. We came third; with 90/100 for Gaelic and 94/100 for music. Wow!
We really enjoyed the Mod and can’t wait to sing next year
Very well done to all in primary 2!
